We are looking for someone who has a passion for all things involved with procurement to be our Procurement Specialist.
The Procurement Specialist has the primary responsibility of assisting with scheduled purchases and making sure that they arrive on time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Works with vendors to schedule purchases, shipping, and delivery times.
- Expedites scheduled purchases, as needed.
- Evaluates orders and confirms information accuracy.
- Evaluate order confirmation for pricing discrepancies.
- Tracks scheduled purchases and updates the purchase orders in the system.
- Creating and maintaining reports to sure inventory accuracy.
- Works with other teams including sales, shipping and production.
- Ensures that inventory counts are completed regularly and in a timely manner.
- Follows all existing company policies and procedures.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one year purchasing related experience or have demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities to perform tasks.
- Strong emphasis on accuracy and detail
- Intermediate to Advanced level with Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrate the ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions and problem solving
- Possess effective written and verbal communication skills
- Display ability to multitask by working on multiple projects simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines
