Actual font size was wrong for a stencil
Bob •
Their design program for a stencil, does not say what the units of measure are for the font size. I emailed HC Brands just to be sure. They said that the font was measured in points. One point is 1/72 of an inch. I did the math over and over. A character that is 60 points should be 60/72" or 0.83" in decimal format. I really wanted the size of the characters to be 0.75", but the design program does not allow that. The stencil I received had numbers that were 0.60 inches tall, not 0.83. I used a caliper for measurement. Size matters. I don't recommend HC Brands. I won't be back.
