Manufacturing Production Supervisor

We are a fast-growing e-commerce manufacturer & fulfillment center of customized & personalized products located in Jacksonville, Florida. We have three additional fulfillment centers located in Boston, MA, West Chester, PA and Austin, TX. In just five years, we have grown from approximately 30 employees to over 100. JOB ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safe and efficient operation of the Fulfillment Center to meet business performance goals.
  • Meet or exceed daily on-time shipping and labor efficiency targets.
  • Report on productivity, service level, and employee reliability across all shifts.
  • Influence productivity on all shifts via team development and individual coaching.
  • Plan and monitor labor schedules, labor flex down, and overtime to meet fulfillment center demand.
  • Resolve employee issues through proactive employee engagement and problem solving.
  • Lead daily operating meeting and provide KPI/progress reports to FC Director.
  • Formalize quarterly conversations with associates to address opportunities to improve effectiveness.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts and investigate root causes for inventory accuracy gaps.
  • Approve timecards and track absenteeism while applying attendance policies uniformly.
  • Ensure effective employee relations. Provide employee coaching and development.
  • Schedule and execute preventive maintenance routines defined by the fulfillment center director.
  • Schedule and execute cleaning, inspection, and lubrication routines on critical equipment.
  • Actively participate in process improvement projects to improve efficiency, service level, and effectiveness in Fulfillment Center operations.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: (preferred but not required)

  • Skilled in issue resolution and incident investigation
  • Business system and/or ERP experience in order management and inventory management highly desirable
  • Leading teams, setting expectations with teams and individuals and inspiring results improvement
  • Comfortable and capable in decision making with a bias for action.

  • High volume production environment and/or e-commerce background
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • All candidates must successfully pass a skills assessment exam and management interview.

JOB DUTIES & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Directly supervise employees.
  • Work outside of normal hours as needed.
  • Decrease errors and mistakes by implementing mistake proofing and standard procedures.
  • Lift, carry, push and pull up to 30 lbs.
  • Ensure the fulfillment center and warehouse is maintained in a clean and safe manner.
  • Office equipment & software used: Personal computer, printer, copier, Microsoft Office Suite, Corel Draw, lasers, large format printers, cutters, shears, heat benders and other software as required.
  • Must have a basic understanding of general industry work and safety practices.
  • Must have a can-do attitude and be team oriented
  • Self-motivated and able to follow and communicate instructions independently
  • Manufacturing experience a strong plus.
