We're seeking a Fulfillment Center Manager to run our newest facility in the Philadelphia/West Chester area. In just five years, we have grown from approximately 30 employees to over 100. Role Summary & Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe work environment for employees and visitors
- Hire and train machine operating and assembly associates
- Install, startup, and maintain multiple work cells
- Provide overall site leadership to operate, maintain and improve all processes in the Fulfillment Center.
- Achieve and maintain 99.5% service level across multiple product lines.
- Create a culture of customer service & continuous improvement.
- Focus on productivity, efficiency improvement, and people development.
- Develop expert knowledge of processes and equipment to include asset care plan development.
- Operate, troubleshoot, adjust, clean, repair, and maintain all equipment in the Fulfillment Center.
- Assemble data from various sources to develop metric scorecards.
- Act as site ERP super user for the fulfillment center.
- Continually monitor multi-step flow processes for debottlenecking opportunities.
- Develop, monitor, and adjust people schedules, and processes to improve throughput, and meet variable labor expense plan.
- Manage performance expectations and hold individuals & teams accountable for meeting operating targets.
- Collaborate internally with the customer service, finance, and procurement teams to meet service level, inventory accuracy and working capital targets.
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- High volume / fast paced production or fulfillment environment
- Electronics
- Preventative Maintenance
- Equipment Repairs
- B.S./B.A., vocational certificate or equivalent experience
ADDITIONAL DUTIES & REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Decision making and prioritization
- Directly supervise hourly employees
- Develop and implement standard work
- 5S implementation and mistake proofing to reduce defects
- Facility housekeeping & maintenance
- Ability to work in team environment
- Office equipment & software used: Personal computer, printer, copier, Microsoft Office Suite, Corel Draw, laser cutters, large format printers, heat benders, Oracle NetSuite and other software as required.
- Organization of the warehouse in a manner that allows for efficient material handling inbound and outbound.
- Must have working knowledge of general industry and OSHA safety practices
- Must have a can-do attitude and be team oriented
- Self-motivated and able to follow and communicate instructions independently
- Manufacturing experience a strong plus.
