VP/Chief Marketing Officer

HC Brands is seeking a strategic leader and executor who has superior communication, team management, business, technology, and relationship building skills. At HC Brands, we are passionate about driving fast, profitable growth through our ecommerce channels. We specialize in sourcing thousands of customizable products from various vendors all over the world, enabling our customers to personalize those products using our unique and creative designs. We then manufacture and ship them from one of our 3 fulfillment centers located in the United States. 

 

The new Head of Marketing will blend a passion for creative/innovative marketing with a systematic, detail-oriented approach to developing and driving robust strategies and plans across the organization. He/She, is responsible for developing HC Brands digital marketing strategies and guiding a talented team to execution and evaluation of tactics employed. We have a diverse set of marketing channels that include SEO, paid search (PPC), product listing ads (PLA), display ads, retargeting, social (paid, owned and earned), as well as multiple marketplace channels that include Amazon, Etsy and many others.  

 

Job Responsibilities and Duties

 

Ecommerce and Marketing

  • Lead and mentor senior level management team of VP’s and directors responsible for their domains.
  • Direct email marketing, search engine optimization, online advertising, web analytics, social media marketing, creative design and user experience.
  • Evaluate and develop brand strategy across all marketing channels and drive measurable increase in customer lifetime value.
  • Identify and implement creative marketing opportunities to substantially grow business portfolio.
  • Accountable for demand sales strategy and forecast.
  • Accountable for customer and channel performance vs. plan based on aligned key performance indicators.
  • Create organizational best practices, standards, and processes to increase brand awareness and consumer purchases, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Manage digital marketing efforts with a clear focus on return on investment and brand success metrics.
  • Establish and implement short- and long-term objectives, initiatives, procedures and policies in collaboration with the CEO & Executive team objectives.
  • Inspire individuals to incorporate the company's values regarding passion, grit, winning, creativity, collaboration & pride into daily activities, interactions and communications.

 

Product and Merchandising

  • Drive business performance of merchandise categories through early planning and strategy implementation.
  • Lead product assortment & design and develop a product line plan to achieve and exceed financial goals.
  • Partner with purchasing to source on vendor resource, calendar and costing strategies to facilitate production planning.
  • Contribute to weekly sales meetings, monitoring inventory on-hand and sell through, react daily/weekly to reach monthly and annual financial goals,

 

 

Experience / Skills Required

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership roles within Digital Marketing, Business Development, or Ecommerce
  • Outstanding analytical skills, experience interpreting test results and drawing conclusions
  • Demand Creator: Talented “front-end marketer” - understands consumer insights, able to integrate marketing strategies and tactics into all consumer touch points
  • BS in Business or Marketing. MS/MBA preferred.
  • Ability to efficiently interact with board members. Executive gravitas and presence.
  • Proven track record of launching website content at scale based on audience research and customer journeys
  • Strong understanding of marketing technologies and measuring digital marketing tactics
