
Vice President of Operations
Summary
HC Brands is seeking a strategic leader and executor who has superior communication, team management, business, technology, and relationship building skills. The new Head of Operations will have a systematic, detail-oriented approach to developing and driving robust strategies and plans across the organization. He/She, will have oversight of our customer service & multi-fulfillment center environments, and focus on driving scale into a business that is experiencing double digit YoY ecommerce growth.
At HC Brands, we are passionate about driving fast, profitable growth through our ecommerce channels. We specialize in sourcing thousands of customizable products from various vendors all over the world, enabling our customers to personalize those products using our unique and creative designs. We then manufacture and ship them from one of our 3 fulfillment centers located in the United States.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead and mentor senior level management team of VP’s and directors responsible for their domains.
- Strategic leadership and oversight of 75+ associates in, Customer Service, Fulfillment and Logistics.
- Lead, negotiate and implement new carrier and 3PL contracts.
- Ensure KPI’s are designed, implemented and executed across the organization to meet company objectives while providing the highest level of service to our customers.
- Develop strategic plans to drive step change improvements in areas of opportunity within the company's inventory portfolio, and in meeting/exceeding customers' needs for improved communication, quick turns & on-time delivery related to personalized products, year-round products, new product launches, and seasonal demands.
- Effectively utilize financial statements, sales and activity reports, along with other available performance data to identify areas for cost savings, increased efficiencies and capacity, and new areas of revenue generation.
- Backstop manufacturing and technical (R&D, Quality, Product Development) team members on challenges or issues providing the necessary resources or support as required.
- Establish and implement short- and long-term objectives, initiatives, procedures and policies in collaboration with the CEO & Executive team objectives.
- Lead the transition from an entrepreneur led culture, to a more performance based, high-velocity environment committed to taking the company from good to great.
- Inspire individuals to incorporate the company's values regarding passion, grit, winning, creativity, collaboration & pride into daily activities, interactions and communications.
- Provide leadership executing and integrating acquisitions to capitalize on synergies and adopt high-performance culture.
Experience / Skills Required
- 10+ years of progressive leadership roles within Supply Chain, Operations & Customer Service
- Proven experience negotiating and implementing new carrier contracts.
- Experience in a High Volume, High SKU, Fast Moving Environment. Customer Interfacing required.
- BS in Engineering, Business, or Operations related field. MS/MBA preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading major ERP or WMS implementations.
- Ability to efficiently interact with board members. Execute
